Pace introduces lawn tennis to Chibanja Community | March 2016

​

On Saturday, 12th March 2016 – Pace introduced the lawn tennis to the youth in Mzuzu towards Chibanja community this March with the aim of unearthing hidden talents in the community. Pace has so far registered 30 young kids. The organization has partnered with Saved by the Ball and the Tennis Institution that has so far dominated in the top ranking in the country, it has donated 6 rackets and 16 tennis balls.

Pace donates school equipments to school children in Chibanja, Mzuzu | March 2016

​

Chibanja is like the hub of Mzuzu City, it consists of numerous bars, lodges and timbers machine which makes the young people and children in the community to be highly vulnerable to a number of moral behaviours, school dropout especially a girl child, early  marriages, and drug and alcohol abuse. PACE found out that most children do not go to school because of unfulfilled basic needs. In March 2016, Pace and  Eagon donated notebooks, pencils, pens and rulers, to almost 60 children just for a start to motivate them. The donation was coupled with theatre entertainment for the community present through its theatre for development performance.

Pace introduces its Chess team to the National Chess Committee  September 2017

In September 2017, Pace introduced the chess team to Mr Mumba, a national chess committee member. Mr Mumba will be training the chess team for a period of ....

 

With this link, Pace hopes to build a more enlightened and equipped team, and hopes for good things, achievements to come.

Pace organizes an Open Day for the Youth in Mzuzu | September 2017

​

PACE organised an Open Day where it had a number of stakeholders from the District Youth Office, District AIDS Coordinating Committee, District Social Welfare, Chibanja Block Leaders, Youth.

​

The guest of honor was the ward councilor Mr Charles Mologela. PACE showcased theatrical activities among other activities . The message of the day was to raise  awareness, visibility of Pace's existence, its fight to enable education programs, governance and advocacy that lead to youth empowerment and inclusion.

Chess Team introduced to NCC Member, Mr Mumba

Pace increases its media coverage with its partnership with Zathu  pa Wailesi | September 2017

 

PACE has started partnering with Zathu pa Wailesi. Zathu pa Wailesi, is media organisation, that offers radio and TV media coverage. Its partnership with Pace, focuses on sensitisation targeting teenage girls and boys on issues dealing with sexual reproductive, transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS among others.

​

As part of the events cordially organised with Zathu pa Wailesi, Pace has been working on the Mapopa Sanga play, "THE DARK CLOUD". PACE does stage performances where the money realized helps the vulnerable girls and boys with procurement of schools equipments and payment for office and utility bills.
